Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data MarketDrip (“we”, “us”) collects when you use marketdrip.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately plain: we collect the minimum needed to run the Site, we do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data. If you create an account, we receive your email address and basic profile information from the sign-in provider you choose (Discord or Google), including your provider user ID and username. Accounts are optional — the research terminal works without one.
  • Membership status. If you link Discord, we check your role in the MarketDrip Discord server to verify whether you hold a YouTube membership. We store the result of that check, not your Discord messages or activity.
  • Portfolio data. If you use the portfolio feature, we store the holdings and transactions you enter so they sync across your devices. This data is only used to display your portfolio back to you.
  • Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to profile you.

2. What we do NOT collect

  • We never see or store payment details. Memberships are purchased through YouTube and billed by Google under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone.

3. How we use your data

  • To operate your account, keep you signed in, and sync your portfolio.
  • To verify membership so members-only content (game plan notes, the live trading group log) unlocks for you.
  • To respond when you contact us for support.
  • To keep the Site secure and diagnose technical problems.

We process this data because it is necessary to provide the service you ask for (performance of a contract) or because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the Site secure and functional.

4. Cookies

We use only functional cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in to your account, and short-lived cookies required for the sign-in flow to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies that track you across other websites.

5. Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run the Site, each of which processes data on our behalf:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (stores account and portfolio data).
  • Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
  • Discord and Google — sign-in providers; they share your basic profile with us when you authorise sign-in, under their own privacy policies.

Market data shown on the Site comes from third-party providers (e.g. exchanges, public statistical agencies). Requests for that data are made by our servers, not your browser, so those providers do not receive your personal data from us.

6. Data retention

We keep account and portfolio data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete the personal data associated with it within 30 days, except where we must keep a record to comply with a legal obligation. Server logs rotate automatically on our hosting provider’s standard schedule.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@marketdrip.com — we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged on the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
